Hi, I have one of the original high scores. You can be pretty sure that the other high scores above mine are hacked, especially considering the suspicious numerical symmetry. Mine was hacked too. The mechanism for hacking a high score was very simple and it took me about an hour to figure out when I was in high school. I emailed the authors about this, along with a suggestion for how to fix it, but I don't think they ever did. I did get a bag full of goodies for my trouble, and my example entry as a demonstration of how to hack the score was mysteriously included on the webpage as if it were legitimate.

Ya I remember that, we all thought it was pretty funny. I clearly remember Joey exchanging email with you (or maybe it was another hacker); he'd make some changes to the app and say "now try" and 5 minutes later, another high score. I think he finally made it relatively hard to hack, although I don't know if that's reflected in this version of the app. Thanks for writing!
